It is a glorious day when someone overcomes adversity to shine in their greatness. Such is the case with 13 year old Andrew Johnston. With a gift for singing, Andrew has been bullied by schoolmates since the age of six. He first discovered his voice at the age of six. Fortunately, Andrew pursued his gift and passion. On a recent episode of Britains Have Talent, Andrew blew away the judges, the audience and virtually anyone who has listened to his performance. I found his performance to be magical, inspiring and a great example of the gifts of the spirit.
Whatever your talent, share it! It is your destiny. Blessings Kathleen Gage

Kathleen,
The video clip was absolutely beautiful and inspiring. What a magnificent voice that young boy has! Thank you for sharing that! And over a long journey I have learned my purpose in life: I am to be a bridge. In things small and perhaps, bigger, I help ferry people from one point in their life, across a stormy passage, and then let them go on to the rest of the wway of your journey. The image I have is of the Old West in America. Famiies traveling into unknown lands, rought and frightening. They come to a river with their wagon of belongings. There's a ferrman with a raft. He knows the river. Helps them get their things and themselves on board, and safely poles them across the river and sets them safely on the opposite shore. They continue on their way--they'll not see him again--but he was part of their making it in a new land.
I like that image. I use it with my fiction writing and in my grant writing, where I've written over fifty million dollars in funded grants that have helped those on the margin of mainstream society or communities overcoming a problem.
All best wishes,
Pat Harrington

I am on a quest for my purpose in life knowing that I'm not doing all that I can do. I am a therapist in private practice, help teach IFS workshops, meditate am a yoga lover and excercise with NIA walking and jogging. I wish to help illuminate gratitude and awareness for all sentient beings.
