On a recent trip to Little Rock, Arkansas I began reading Autobiography of a Yogi. Over the years I have read hundreds of books in the spiritual genre. What I find interesting about this book is that if someone didn't know it they would think it could have been written by one of today's "new thought" leaders eve though it was first published in 1946.
There are many similarities on the spiritual messages that what one would find in virtually any new thought book.
The book tells the story of Paramahansa Yogananda from his infancy to his journey to enlightentment. It is the story of his desire to find his guru and find a deep connection with God.
This book was named one of the best spiritual books of the 20th Century. Even though I am only on page 124 out of 575 pages, I can see why.
If you are one who enjoys (and craves) insights beyond what you have currently experienced or you want to enhance your current teachings, I would highly recommend picking up a copy of Autobiography of a Yogi.
If you have read it, what did you gain from the book?
Blessings,
Kathleen Gage
