While in Los Angeles at Book Expo America, I had the good fortune of connecting with some wonderful people. Some I have known from online social networks I belong to, others from courses they have taken from me and still others that I have been corresponding with for months (and even years) by way of email. It's quite a treat to put a face to a name.
Of course, there were plenty of people I met for the very first time. Louise Hay was one such person. Several times during the conference she would be at the Hay House booth handing out sets of her DVD set, You Can Heal Your Life. In that I have been an avid reader of her information for over 20 years, I was thrilled to not only meet her, get her DVD set and to take time that evening to watch them.
She talks about how very simple it is to create the life we want and how powerful our thoughts, emotions and words are. Here is a paraphrase of what she talked about on one of the DVDs, "Creating the life we want is simple. That's all there is to it. If most people could believe it was this simple to manifest what they want, they would be amazed at the results. The fact is, most people make it so complicated that they don't get what they want."
She refers to the evidence that our thoughts to attract good things when we think good thoughts as the "green light" moments. Simply put, it's as if we catch every green light when we are driving.
I had some really fun green light moments in Los Angeles. Most people have these moments, yet many people are either not aware of this or they downplay the experience.
On Saturday, I was going to meet with a colleague in one of the exhibit halls. Considering the fact there were over 40,000 people in attendance finding someone was quite the experience; unless of course one set the intention that things would flow with ease.
To find out Ken's exact location I called him on my cell phone. At the time I was near a Starbuck's concession. He was in another area of one exhibit hall. He asked if I would order a Chai Tea for him and he would meet me. As I walked up the counter I was told they were closed. I conveyed this to Ken.
We decided to meet in a different location. When we connected I suggested we sit down. Ken said the energy in the area we were in didn't feel good so he would rather not sit.
Just as he was finishing his sentence a gentleman Ken has known for some time gave him a big hug. The first thing out of this man's mouth was, "Hey, why don't you two go by my booth and enjoy a cup of Chai Tea." Green light!
We walked to the booth, got our tea and were invited to sit at one of the tables made available to visitors at this particular booth. Green light!
Not only did Ken get what he wanted, I got what I wanted. Now some people might brush this off as coincidence. I see it as small green lights that are simply the evidence of how life can flow if we simply let it.
After five days in Southern California, I got to sleep in my own bed last night. As is often my practice when I wake, I mentally go through what I have to be grateful for and I set the intention for my day. One thing I expressed gratitude for is the abundance I enjoy. I also did some affirmations about money.
When I checked my emails I had another green light experience. Actually two. The first was from a colleague who said there had been a glitch in his computer system and some money I had earned from an affiliate campaign nearly a year ago had not been paid at the time I earned it. He made everything right by sending me the money today.
The second green light was when I received an email from a client who has wanted to have some mentoring sessions with me. She said, "I am ready to move forward. When can we start?"
Those two green lights are worth a very nice amount of money. What the last few days have once again reinforced for me is that life is more than willing to give us what we ask for. We simply need to be aware of what we are asking for, be open to receiving it, and give thanks when it arrives no matter how small or how big.
So what is it you are asking for? And..... do you give thanks when you have the green light experiences? The more you give thanks the more you will realize that which you have to be thankful for.
Blessings
