Many things catch our eyes. Be absorbed by those things that touch our hearts.
How true this is. There is always something to catch our eye. Often things of distraction rather than attraction.
It is when we live in the space of being absorbed by that which touches our hearts we are able to fully live a life of awe.
It has been said, "If you are not in awe, you are not paying attention."
Watch a child's wonder of the world. Until they are told to grow up, settle down, shhhhhh, don't get so excited, children do have a natural awe of the world.
Have you ever wondered what life would be like as an adult to have the wonder of a child? Not to be childish. Rather, to be childlike. To be in awe of every moment of every day. To be in awe of the sunrise we are gifted to enjoy. To be in awe of the sunset. To be in awe of the beauty of a flower, a child, a puppy, a kitten or virtually anything that is the miracle of life.
When we lose the ability to be in awe, we lose the ability to experience passion. It is passion that allows us to go deep into our joy of life.
What have you been in awe of recently? What is your passion?
If it has been some time since you gasped with gratitude at something that literally took your breath away, all that you need do is be aware that awe inspiring moments are as close as your imagination, heart and spirit.
Allow yourself to reside in the space of awe.
Blessings,
Kathleen Gage

Dear Kathleen,
Thank you so much for sharing such an insightful article.
While reading, I was wondering what exactly happened to my natural awe... until I got to the following excerpt:
"Watch a child's wonder of the world. Until they are told to grow up, settle down, shhhhhh, don't get so excited, children do have a natural awe of the world."
My God! What am I doing to myself? I may have been told all these things as a child, but what's the point in continuing to hold ideas that do not serve me anymore?
I got stars in my eyes right at this moment, writing this comment to you. You definitely helped me touch something important here, and I am deeply grateful for that.
Count on me; I will work on this matter... starting right now!
Warmly,
Chantal

Thank you for your comments Chantal. The thought for writing this came to me when the minister from my spiritual center shared this on Sunday.
I often get such wonderful fodder for my writings after I hear Rev. Linda share her inspired insights.
Amazing how there is a wonderful domino effect of one person's word inspiring another and another and another.
Be blessed.

Kathleen,
The business I now have online allows me to rediscover my child within. I love every moment of what I do, and my students can feel my childlike enthusiasm. I am in awe that I can have the life I now have, and grateful to you and others for guiding me to this place.
