Tonight I have the opportunity to do a book reading and signing based on my book, The Law of Achievement at the Center for Spiritual Growth in Eugene, Oregon.
During my morning meditation I sat quietly allowing myself to be open to all that is, asking that just the right words and the right message for those who will be in attendance be delivered. It was during my quiet time I acknowledged that what possibility, purpose and potential means to me today is very different than what it has meant at other points in my life.
In the past it was primarily about the outward evidence; awards, recognitions, accolades. Over the years I have had much evidence on the outward level such as award winning speaker, author and entrepreneur that I am a high achiever. Not that it has always been that way, but for the last two decades it has. Although an honor to be acknowledged for good works, what I now know is the outward evidence does not mean we feel this inside.
Over the years I have met many "highly accomplished" individuals. The most amazing thing is many do not feel successful, accomplished or happy. Some continually strive for that one next award that will make everything perfect. That one acknowledgement that will make others see how important they are.
The truth is, only when we are in resolve in our spirit will we feel completely on purpose. Only when we acknowledge there is a purpose for our life that goes beyond the outward evidence will we achieve our fullest possibility. Only when we are willing to walk in faith and trust that we are here for that which goes beyond the physical evidence will we understand our potential is that which is to ask the Universe, God, Higher Power ....."How can I be of service to others?" rather than, "How can others be of service to me?"
It is in the ability to surrender to the space of service our lives take on the deepest meaning of purpose, possibility and potential in which happiness, joy and gratitude are our constant companions.
May your days be blessed,
Kathleen Gage

Great article Kathleen
Several years ago that was a shift of thinking for me. I found that while I had been talking about helping others, I was still living from,"what's in it for me?"
Now, as my human self and spirit are more aligned with, "how can I be of help to you," there is a great sense of joy and abundance in each day. When I show up authentically with people AND be of service to them too...well, that's one of the best feelings ever!
Cheers,
Lorraine
