The foal in these pictures was born on December 24, 2008. With no milk being produced by her mother, it was very touch and go due to needing a way to nourish the foal. In search of goats milk to give nourishment a message was posted on a Oregon horse lovers Yahoo Group for anyone who had access to goats milk on Christmas Day.
The response was incredible. The gift of helping a stranger was given by so many. The owner of the horse and her foal did find goats milk in Dexter, Oregon and the baby made it through the day.
3 days later the baby is doing very good. There is still the need to keep a close eye on her but it looks like the danger is over.

The meaning of giving was experienced by so many this Christmas Day.

This story reveals the true spirit of selfless giving. When genuine need is expressed, people respond from the heart. It is very touching and inspiring.
