A few weeks ago, during a Compelling Conversation about Fear and Faith with host, Lorraine Cohen and an incredible panel, I shared a four step shifting process (S.T.O.P) that spontaneously jumped into my head. It was in response to dozens of questions submitted by folks who are struggling with fear and perceived lack in their lives and has been a powerful reminder to shift when needed (and Lord knows I've needed to!).

Beyond the differences miracles happen!

Often, we focus on the differences between us and others. This creates a seperation of spirit. It is when we can go beyond the differences, miracles happen. Watch this video all the way through to see an extraordinary example of how these two animals went way beyond differences to create a bond far too uncommon. Honoring that which is important

During this time of year the majority of people who set resolutions for 2009 have long since broken the very thing they claimed to have wanted.

Whether it be to eat healthier, exercise, not use their credit card for any purchases whatsoever until the card is paid down, spend 2  hours a day looking for that next job, writing for at least two hours a day on their dream book or just about anything you can think of.

Broken resolutions, promises, commitments or anything that we use to state what we want gets broken because we forgot. We did not remember the compelling reasons we had for our resolution in the first place.

Does that mean the resolution is lost forever? Absolutely not. It simply means we are being called to honor that which we claim to be important to us.

My primary resolution in 2009

It's likely millions of people made resolutions for the coming year and many people already broke their resolution. The challenge with a resolution is we may not take it as seriously as a commitment to self.

When a commitment is made, there are two choices we have. Keep it or don't keep it. Simple as that.

As I have been reflecting not only on the last year, but many past years, I am very clear I have been extremely blessed. That's not to say there have not been difficult times. There has been illness with family and friends, many people I know being adversely affected by these uncertain times, death and difficulties.
