What would you do.....?

What would God say through you when your words do not matter?

What would love clearly do when your mind forgets the chatter?

Words that you say but don’t really don’t mean

The price you pay when love remains unseen

What would God say through you if you opened up your heart?

What would love say through you if your mind began to slow down and your heart began to open with the rest of you... would come around to see that nothing really matters now, but openness – your highest vow.

What would love say through you if you opened up your heart?

What would life say to you if you finally began to listen to more than words, but what’s behind them all.

Would you comprehend what you have been missing?

All those empty years you thought you were alone but all the while you were right at home.

Do what you are called to do and don’t worry about what comes next

This morning as I was enjoying the beautiful music of the pianist at the Sunday service a thought came to me... “Show Up to do what you are called to do with no concern about what comes next.”

Enjoying the stunningly deep music it occurred to me that the musician was doing what he is called to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

This got me to thinking about the number of people who set conditions on what they claim their calling to be thus missing the miracle of delivery.

The greatest gift we can give to the world is to have an expectancy of our gift touching those it is intended to touch. It is about the ability to let go of the expectation that the only way we are fulfilling our destiny is if our gift makes us a certain amount of money or creates a level of fame.  

It is when we are so deeply absorbed in the moment that we are able to fully express our gift. Whether that gift be through the spoken or written word, through the touch of our hands or through the care we give another, it is about simply being one with source. It is in the ability to reach that level, with no expectation of where this will lead that we are truly gifting the world.
