Life is full of surprises that includes amazing places we visit, people we meet and experiences we have. I am of the belief that every day is an extraordinary day. We can find the most profound experiences in even the most ordinary of circumstances. All we need do is look and keep our eyes open to what is right in front of us.
Recently, I made a trip to Indianapolis to facilitate an experiential training. I was brought in my Jim and Nora Zarvos of Zarvos Consulting. What could have easily been “just another experience” turned out to be one of the most incredible times I have had.
Not only did I meet 50 amazing participants, I had the opportunity throughout the weekend to share time with Jim and Nora exchanging ideas about life, business and spirituality.
What stands out the most is the light that both Jim and Nora have. What also stands out is something Nora’s mother said to her many, many years ago. An insight that absolutely has been a guiding force for Nora.
Growing up in a gang infested neighborhood, surviving on welfare, surrounded by drugs, prostitution and other dark sides of life, Nora took her mother’s words to heart.
“Nora, this is where you are right now. But I want you to remember that this is not where you have to stay.”
Not only has Nora shown that her mother’s words are so true, she is a teacher to many who are ready to transform their lives beyond their wildest dreams.
For anyone who thinks their current situation defines who they are and what their life will always be like need only take a couple of minutes to realize anything is possible when one holds the vision of a life beyond compare. A life of contribution, depth and impact on others.
