There is no time like the present....

There is no time like the present to right a wrong
No time like the present to forgive yourself or another
No time like the present to love as if today is the last
No time like the present to extend the hand of friendship asking nothing in return
No time like the present to simply give to another
No time like the present to be there to hear another in their time of despair, time of fear, time of confusion
 
There is no time like the present to simply love for the sake of love
A love that expects nothing in return
A love that is purely from the space of the heart
 
When you are lonely be a friend
When you are hungry find someone to feed
When you are fearful find someone to console

It is in the ability to get outside of our own needs we are able to find the greatest comfort, love and meaning.

Beautiful words Kathleen. I'm blessed to also call you my friend. Last few days I was in a crisis as you have been challenged yourself, but you never forgot to write me a sweet note about my dog. It helped and today the great dog results came in--no real issues; could be lupus but not testing for and assuming yes, with all the cases he has seen. Dental surgery is tomorrow. To live in the present, to live in the now
Is something most of us don't know how

Looking into the future or back into the past
We too often let our lives fly by too fast

To stop, to listen, to look where we are
Seems as impossible as grasping for a star

The speed of life is so quick these days
We must make the decision to change our ways

To breathe in deeply and slow ourselves down
To be at peace with oursleves and those around

Life is not easy, but taken a step at a time
Each moment can be enjoyed, and not feel a crime

We are all here on a journey to be the best we can be
