The message is actually very simple; God is working with us, through us and for us to accomplish things that need to be accomplished and we are the ones who have been chosen. Each and every one of us. Yet, being human, we tend to complicate the simplicity of it all.
Right here, right now, we are able to open up to that which we are called to do if we so desire. What stops most people from fulfililing their calling is fear, ego and small-mindedness.
Live in your greatness and watch amazing things come to pass.
"He who has a why to live can bear almost any how." Nietzsche
The more clarity we gain of our purpose, the more we are compelled to live our life on purpose.
Many say, "But I don't know my purpose." Here are some simple questions that may bring clarity to you.
What is it you do naturally?
What do you do the best?
In the answers reside your purpose.
When we are living our purpose we tend to be more connected to ourselves and others. It is in the connectedness miracles are possible.
We will likely shortchange ourselves
Left to our own devices we will often shortchange ourselves in what strive for in life. When I say strive, I am not talking about the next award or recognition. What I am referring to is striving to be our complete self.
We do not need to force the process; we simply need to show up to our life.
This can be very difficult for countless numbers of people. There are many reasons for this. Conditioning from parents, teachers, ministers, authority figures and any number of people being a main reason.
Once upon a time we knew
As children we lived our purpose. For most, it was not complicated. It was actually very simple. As we grew, things changed. We watched others and somehow believed their way of thinking was better than ours. Little by little we evolved into something that at times we couldn't even recognize.
To live in the place of nonrecognition of our being and purpose is the breeding ground for regret. To live in the place of recognition is the breeding ground for gratitude.
Hopefully we get to a point where we realize a life of regret or gratitude is our choice and our choice alone. If we don't reach this point, our life will likely be filled with regrets. Great regrets.
Amazingly, regret is based on what we either do or don't do. Gratitude is based on what we either do or don't do.
Our EGO is out to get us
The greatest challenge we will ever have to deal with is the challenge of living in the space of our ego. It has been said that EGO is simply, "Etching God Out." Yet, there are those who will argue for the right to maintain the need for their ego to be at the forefront of all they do.
After all, if we give up our ego, who are we? This is the ultimate question, "Who are we?" This goes right back purpose.
How often do people ask, "What is my purpose? What am I to do with my life?"
The only purpose we have is to serve. Simple, but not necessarily easy. Again, ego kicks in and tries to convince us otherwise.
It is in this awareness we are able to adjust our focus as needed and deepen our spiritual connection.
Stop chasing your purpose
Many people spend a lifetime chasing enlightenment and those things that will reveal their spiritual nature.
Rather than chasing a life of spirituality, think of what you do on a moment by moment basis to move away from a life of spirituality. Make changes as needed.
There are so many ways to define spirituality. The simplest is love, kindness, compassion.
When we are in a place of the spiritual we are in the place of love, kindness, compassion. We are in the mode of action that has a concern for others.
When we are in our deepest place of spirituality and enlightenment we are not counting all our collections. We care not what the outward appearances are. Rather, we are content regardless of what is going on.
We can be in a state of what we feel is complete spirituality in one moment and then the ego kicks in and tries to convince us that we are not enough, we don't have enough, we are not smart enough, we are less than, we are better than. It doesn't matter what it tries to convince us of, what matters is that all of this is meant to create seperation.
What our time is meant to be
Our time on earth is meant to create meaning in the lives of those we come in contact with. It is meant to be about connectedness. It is about willingly going into the unknown.
The greatest gift we can give is to be who we are called to be, not that which we think we should be. Do not try to be that which you are not. Be that which you are called to be.
Are you living your life in your fullest potential or do you live in the space of fear which prevents this from being your day by day experience?
Living on purpose is living a life filled with blessings. If you have any doubt about the blessings life has to offer, realize that there is an intelligence that is working in your favor. It is conspiring to give you the greatest life has to offer - you!
Let life unfold before you. Let the miracles be visible through your awareness. Let the world behold who you are right here, right now.

Great post Kathleen
These questions and insights are so timely and critical to where we are today in our personal growth and spiritual awakening. I know the EGO is getting a bad rap and I think it's important to realize that our egos can positively be of service to our soul path when we shift the power to listening and following our heart to be the guiding force in our life and using our ego's skills and talents to our advantage.
Here's to a great New Year and many blessings, gifts, and abundant miracles!
Cheers,
Lorraine
