Many have the desire to more fully live in their gift and yet, many hold themselves back due to the unknown. What stops most people is not lack of desire, but rather fear. Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of what others will think, fear of success. You name it, someone is likely to be walking in that fear.
Even the most spiritual among us (or those who claim to be) may hold ourselves back because we are not sure how to go about letting our gifts unfold. This is where faith and trust come in.
Left to our own devices we will often limit our potential simply because we are making choices based on our human experience. Sure, there those of us who believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience and yet, it is in that humanness the fear resides.
To not share our gifts out fear is to shun the gift. The fear arises when we are future tripping on how our gift should be revealed to the world. It may also be from memories of past experiences that may not have turned out how we thought they should.
If we place our trust in Source we discover that everything, absolutely everything, that happens in our world is as it should be. All is designed for our growth and unfolding... that is, if we believe it to be so.
To more fully realize our gifts here are five areas I invite you to give energy to.
- Exploration
- Giving
- Discovery
- Willingness
- Sharing
Exploration is the process of doing what we are called to do that moves us closer to a full expression of our gift. Often we get a sense of what to do but quickly negate the thought due to not knowing what the outcome will be.
Giving is in the ability to give freely of our talent when we know this is what we are called to do. So often people hold back becuase they want monetary rewards for what they are giving. The monetary rewards may not be appropriate at all times. The greatest reward is in knowing we are fulfilling our destiny.
Discovery is a process in which day by day we are given a treasure map by way of our thoughts and feelings. Our choice is what to do with those thoughts and feelings. Far too many people ignore what they know to be true again due to not knowing what comes next.
Willingness is what we must have in order to fully live in our gifts. At times it is simply the willingness to be willing.
Sharing is similar to giving and yet, it is simply having the courage to share that which we have been blessed with.
In all of this it is not about how wonderful we are but rather about how useful we can become. It is in our usefulness we will live each day in a way that the day is complete. It is knowing beyond any doubt that we are living in a way that when all is said and done we have lived the best life we can.
Can we do this on our own? I don't believe so. I believe we have a partner who walks with us, works through us and resides in the space of our trust. Only in the desire and willingness to recognize this Source are we able to fully express our gifts.

I find willingness to be a crucial step that people overlook. They think they are willing but under close examination, there are limiting beliefs, assumptions, gremlins and interpretations that hold us back from fully engaging in this willingness process.
